Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Production Laborer, where you are responsible for safely handling materials and finished products in support of manufacturing operations. This role verifies that material meets customer requirements and company expectations, follows established work instructions, and helps maintain a clean, safe, and organized production environment.

Shifts: 6 am to 6 pm, 6 pm to 6 am

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Move, handle, and secure material and finished products according to instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Stack finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
  • Label material based on specifications such as type, size, and count.
  • Apply individual tags to material before and/or after treating or production, as required.
  • Use a staple gun and other basic tools; perform simple troubleshooting of tagging or strapping equipment.
  • Band, bundle, and secure material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks.
  • Follow instructions for stacking material properly in accordance with company policy, safety guidelines, and customer requirements.
  • Ensure correct quantities and material are strapped, tagged, and labeled before leaving the work area.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of tags and promptly report any problems or discrepancies to a supervisor.
  • Record production information on production sheets or in designated systems.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, including housekeeping in assigned zones.
  • Assist other work areas by moving material, loading and unloading material carts, and supporting general production needs.
  • Participate in safety, continuous improvement (CI), and other plant programs and meetings.
  • Follow all company safety rules, procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

    The Warehouse Sorter / Unloader (WSU) is a team-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic warehouse environment. This entry-level position is responsible for sorting and processing donated goods while supporting the daily operations of the warehouse.
    The WSU plays an important role in ensuring donations are efficiently unloaded, sorted, and prepared for further processing. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workplace.

    Schedule: Monday- Friday 9 am to 6 pm  (occasional Saturdays) 

    Essential Functions
    • Unload donations from multiple trucks throughout the day.
    • Sort products efficiently using warehouse equipment and established procedures.
    • Inspect donations and identify defective, damaged, or unsellable items for removal.
    • Create bales as needed throughout the workday.
    • Assist with maintaining warehouse inventory and organization.
    • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe at all times.
    • Work collaboratively with team members, leadership, and donors.
    • Maintain a customer-focused approach in all tasks and interactions.
    • Perform duties accurately and efficiently to support operational success.
    • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and employee handbook guidelines.

This is an active, hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with merchandise, staying busy, and providing excellent customer service in a team-oriented environment.

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    As a Retail Production Associate, you’ll play an important role in preparing donated merchandise for sale and keeping the store organized, stocked, and inviting for customers. Depending on the area you are working in, you may focus on Hardlines (housewares, electronics, collectibles, etc.) or Softlines (clothing, shoes, handbags, and accessories).

    Merchandise Processing

    • Sort donated merchandise into salable, salvage, and trash categories according to company guidelines.
    • Inspect merchandise for quality, condition, functionality, and resale value.
    • Price merchandise using established pricing guidelines and identify special or higher-value items.
    • Learn and recognize current brands, designer labels, collectibles, vintage items, and industry trends.
    • For apparel, inspect items for stains, tears, odors, missing buttons, broken zippers, and other quality concerns.
    • Sort, tag, size, and hang clothing for placement on the sales floor.
    • Maintain accurate production, sorting, hanging, and salvage counts.

    Sales Floor Support

    • Transport merchandise to the sales floor and stock shelves, racks, and displays.
    • Rotate merchandise and perform markdowns according to company procedures.
    • Maintain attractive, organized, and well-stocked sales areas.
    • Assist with floor running, apparel rotation, and cleaning dressing rooms as needed.
    • Keep processing and pricing areas clean and organized.
    • Transport trash to the compactor/dumpster and operate the compactor as needed.

    Customer & Donor Service

    • Provide exceptional customer service and create a positive shopping experience.
    • Assist customers with questions and merchandise.
    • Assist at the donor door and help load and unload donated goods and apparel as needed.
    • Develop positive working relationships with customers, donors, and team members.

    Safety & Teamwork

    • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
    • Report safety hazards, injuries, or other concerns to the Retail Store Manager.
    • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
    • Adapt to changing priorities and assist wherever needed to support store operations.
    • Consistently meet established quality and productivity goals.
