They are looking to add a Store Manager to their growing team

Overview: The Retail Store Manager drives retail business operations at the company. The Retail Store Manager is responsible for entire store production, directly leading Retail Assistant Store Manager, Production Team, and Donation Attendants. Key responsibilities include people leadership, store operations, financial management, inventory control, donation processing, customer service, and training and development of Team Members. 
Responsibilities:
  • Develops and executes retail operations plan to achieve daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly budget goals.
  • Monitors product levels daily to achieve bottom line sales budget against goals and orders additional product to meet production targets.
  •  Interviews, selectively hires, and trains staff for the retail location.
  • Partners with Marketing and Human Resources to develop, coordinate, and identify cost-effective advertising and hiring strategies.
  • Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of team members.
  • Oversees staff and fulfills staffing needs for regular hours, as well as special events or high-traffic times.
  •  Builds a high-performing team.
  • Responsible for performance management (coaching, discipline, performance improvement plans, and annual reviews), staffing, compensation, and development of team members.
  • Ensures the Retail Assistant Store Manager(s) effectively manages performance of team.
  • Partners with support areas (Loss Prevention, Human Resources, Safety, Finance, Marketing, etc.) to further business goals and ensure compliance with applicable policies, and procedures.
  • Must have reliable transportation in order to perform daily tasks such as dropping off the bank deposit, monthly manager meetings, and attending personal training and development classes.
  • Plays critical role in driving company culture change efforts and change management processes.
  • Maintains and motivates a positive sales team through communication, incentives, and evaluations.
  • Confirms daily sales reports and cash receipts;ensures monies are deposited regularly, and reports are submitted as prescribed by company policies.
  • Addresses customer needs and resolves issues, ensuring positive and long-term customer relationships.
  • Plans, organizes, and coordinates sales, marketing, and budgeting with Vice President, Finance and Operations, Director, Retail Operations and Marketing.
  • Uses company software to research, analyze, and track purchases.
  • Ensures that the store always looks clean and inviting.
  • Places and rotates merchandise to attract positive attention from customers.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelors or Associates degree in Business or related field preferred, but less formal education with more on-the-job experience may be substituted.
  • At least five years of retail experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Schedule flexibility.
  • Reliable vehicle with valid NYS driver’s license and the ability to travel to stores in Erie, Niagara and Genesee County.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Works well under pressure and deadlines;ability to multitask.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with ability to motivate staff.
  • Ability to meet production and processing goals.
  • Excellent customer service abilities.
  • Ability to develop and maintain budgets.
  • Thorough understanding of company policies and practices.
  • A passion for serving others.

Job Requirements

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, and reach for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds with no support regularly.
  • Able to perform tasks that require repetitive motion; i.e., tagging or hanging clothes. Manual dexterity is required.
