Retail Administrative Support Specialist

Job Description

Selective Staffing Solutions has partnered with a non-profit organization that works to enhance the dignity and quality of life of individuals and families by helping them overcome barriers and reach their full potential through learning and the power of work. They feel that with hard work, comes independence, pride, self-esteem, and sense of purpose. They are looking to add a Retail Administrative Support Specialist, to their growing team.
This position’s key responsibilities include:
  1. Provides level one support for retail point of sales and production software and related equipment.
  2. Provides positive and professional working relationship with peers, staff, and outside vendors to ensure effective operation of E-commerce.
  3. Purchases goods and services according to the company’s policies and procedures.
  4. Evaluates vendors based on price, reliability, capability, and previous transaction history.
  5. Ensures that purchasing documents are complete and accurate and include appropriate and reasonable terms and conditions.
  6. Negotiates contracts with vendors for optimal cost and delivery times.

Job Requirements

ROLE REQUIREMENTS (the stuff you must have) 
  • Associate's Degree in business or computer technology related fields (preferred but not required)
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in administrative assistance, basic computer/technical support, inventory purchasing and control (or roles that together reflect competence in the diverse skill sets needed for this role).
  • Prior experience working with point of sale systems and generating reports.
  • Must have strong computer skills with Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel, Word and Outlook).
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, appropriate insurance coverage, and a privately owned reliable means of transportation to travel throughout Western New York territory to visit stores and locations on a regular and recurring basis.
