Purchasing & Sales Support Coordinator
Overview
- Highly detail-oriented role focused on owning purchasing coordination, order tracking, and vendor/customer follow-up in a fast-paced environment
- Supports a team currently experiencing high workload and backlog due to increased vendor activity and prior operational disruptions
- Emphasis on proactive problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and process improvement rather than purely transactional customer service work
Key Responsibilities
- Run and analyze purchasing reports and demand/projection forecasts
- Manage purchase order lifecycle, including creation, tracking, and matching POs to invoices
- Follow up with vendors and customers to ensure timely order fulfillment and issue resolution
- Investigate open and unfulfilled sales orders to determine root causes of delays
- Determine and communicate lead times, shipping schedules, and order status updates
- Manage high-volume communication via phone and email with internal teams, vendors, and customers
- Identify process gaps and contribute ideas to improve operational efficiency and accuracy
- Support resolution of escalated issues related to product, order discrepancies, or fulfillment breakdowns
Preferred Background
- Experience in supply chain coordination or procurement support
- Background in logistics, manufacturing support, or distribution environments
- Familiarity with order management systems and basic reporting tools
Compensation
- $60, 000 –$70, 000 annually (based on experience)

- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with a proactive and professional approach
- Analytical mindset with the ability to investigate issues and interpret data from reports
- Experience in inventory management, distribution, purchasing, sales support, or supply chain coordination preferred
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Strong attention to detail, especially in tracking orders, documentation, and reconciliation tasks
- Ability to ask questions, escalate appropriately, and work independently with minimal direction
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on ownership and accountability
