Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team in the food processing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing production operations, ensuring adherence to food safety standards, and maintaining a high level of quality throughout the production process. This role requires strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of food production processes.
Schedule: 6 pm to 6 am;rotating 3-day, 4-day work week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
1. Analyze and evaluate information concerning daily operations and how these results positively or negatively affect plant performance.
2. Utilizes ZD as a manufacturing process control tool and enforces the on-time accuracy of the information with their staff.
3. Ensures that production specifications are in line with Company standards and ensures that the loss of fat and protein is minimized (and consistent with the budget). Takes corrective action immediately when necessary.
4. Reviews regulatory charts, pasteurization and c.I.P., and production related charts daily. Follows up on
corrective actions needed to ensure their accuracy.
5. Works closely with Quality Control Manager and Laboratory personnel on a wide variety of areas
including: quality of raw materials, product specification, good manufacturing and sanitation practices.
6. Works closely with Maintenance on a variety of issues related to equipment and plant maintenance.
7. Works closely with RSPC (Receive, Separate, Pasteurize, Concentrate) staff to monitor inventories of milk, cream, starter, and all other materials required for production.
8. Works closely with Mozzarella Packaging staff to ensure the product is provided in spec and on time while working as a team to resolve any issues.
9. Coordinates sanitation and housekeeping functions with Plant Sanitarian.
10. Assists Mozzarella Production Manager / Assistant Mozzarella Production Manager with planning and
scheduling manpower consistent with production requirements.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Dairy or other related experience preferred.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work required.
  • Strong communication abilities, written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of computer software.
Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Dairy Science/Chemistry preferred.
